How we got started

We have been doing this work since 2022. The company was already in business when we bought it, along with the equipment, and we have run it as North Florida Land Improvements ever since. Eric Temme leads the work, and the goal from the beginning was to build something steady that the family could grow into together.

Why we do this

This is a family business, and we run it like one. The person who answers the phone is the person who walks your land and runs the machine, so the job is done the way we would want it done on our own property.

That is why we care how each job turns out. Our name is on every property we work on.

How we work

Most days it is a small family crew. When a job is bigger, or when a storm has knocked everything sideways, we bring in trusted help so the work keeps moving. During hurricane season we have been out working and answering calls at all hours, which is why we list our hours as 24 hours a day.

We offer free estimates. Tell us about your property and what you want done, and we will give you a straight answer on what it needs.

What guides us

We are a Christian family and a military family. Those two things shape how we run the business, and they are a big part of why we try to treat every customer the way we would want to be treated on our own land. It is also why we offer discounts to military members and first responders.

The kinds of property we work on

Our customers are a mix. Some are homeowners with a few acres who want a yard, a pasture, or a clear view back to the tree line. Some are landowners who have held a piece of property for years and are finally ready to build on it. Others are businesses and builders who need a site opened up and made ready. The land is different every time, and so is the plan.

What you can expect when you call

Eric keeps his phone with him, so you are usually talking to the person who will be doing the work. Tell us about the property and what you want to do with it, and we will talk it through. If it makes sense to look at the land, we will arrange a free estimate. You do not need to know the technical terms. A plain description and a few photos are plenty.

Why one crew for the whole project matters

Land work happens in a sequence. Clearing comes before grading, grading comes before a pad or a driveway, and each step affects the next. When one crew handles it all, nobody has to guess what the last crew left behind, and you make fewer phone calls.

What we do

We handle the front end of a land project, from the first pass through the brush to the finished pad or driveway. That includes:

Many jobs use more than one of these, so it helps to have one crew who can do them in the right order. You can see everything we offer on our services page.

Where we work

We are based in Alachua and serve Alachua County, Union County, Bradford County, Columbia County, and Suwannee County. For larger jobs we will travel up to about 80 miles from Alachua. See our full service area for details.
